I stopped for just a minute.
To see a friend outside on town.
With my collar up, I found his name
And felt the wind die down

Didn't think he was that old. One of my favorite country singers ever though.

Alan Jackson is one of the best to ever do it. He doesn't get brought up enough in the conversation of greatest ever.

IMO, he belongs on the mount Rushmore of country music.

I love the song “I’ll Try”. You can really hear the great voice that he has.

He's a good man.

What he did for Newnan after the tornado in '22 speaks volumes.

Used to cheat on his wife all the time. Family member worked in the music biz here in Nashville and it was a very open thing.

And if they found a fountain of youth
I wouldn't drink a drop and that's the truth
Funny how it feels I'm just getting to my best years yet

Luckiest artist alive. Average voice, low energy and zero charisma. You can hear more talented singers at any local karaoke bar. I said what I said.
