We are thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter in our journey. Building on the strong legacy of quality and innovation from our Lowrance® and Simrad® brands, we are transitioning all future trolling motor production under these trusted names. As a result, manufacturing under the MotorGuide brand has ceased.

There will be a Recon model under both Lowrance and Simrad. This is bad news for cable steer fans, as Motorguide was the last true maker of cable steer TMs. For the way I fish, I would rather have cable steer than spot lock.

And all that is under garmin, correct?

That means there will be a subscription requirement to use all the features.

Alway been a Minn Kota guy. Like their customer service department and parts availability. Prices are usually very reasonable too.

No, Garmin has their own motors and sonar units. This will be Lowrance and Simrad.

That sucks bad for those of us who don't want to drop 100k on a boat.

Each his own but the newer trolling motors have been the biggest invention in bass fishing that’s actually worth the costs. Sounds like you’re doing it all wrong.

Someone needs to bring back Ram.

Inexpensive, no frills, dependable (until they changed ownership and things started to suck).
