I bumped it with my head, heard a short bzzzzt noise on one of the candelabras, saw a spark, and the whole thing died. Like it shorted out.

I am dumb about electrical stuff, but is this fixable? Did it fry the switch on the wall? Surely the wiring to the fixture is still good, right?

And yes, I intend to call an elecrtrician.

Did you check the breaker? I know when one of mine goes out it throws my arc fault breaker.

It is probably shorted out at the ceiling. A lot of times people throw those up quickly and don't get the wiring slack in the chain. It will eventually stretch it out, as it is just thin copper strands inside insulation, and tear apart from the inside. Wiring to the box is probably fine, my guess is in inside the box or the wire coming down to the chandelier is toast.

Do you have a volt meter? Could have done something like just blown the bulbs. Unlikely, but possible

You want to check the voltage to see if you have a connection.

Could be something like a GFCI outlet tripped also.

where was the buzzing?

in the ceiling or in the chandelier itself or possibly in the wall? Is it on a dimmer?

if it's in the chandelier, it could be the wiring in it. They are very simple. Wiring coming in and then going to the light fixtures.

Check your ceiling box first, then wall switch, then chandelier.

This, probably loose connection at/in wire nut.
