Heading up from BR Thursday, with a stopover in Texarkana. Any tips on food or tailgate spots?

Eat at Naaman’s in Texarkana
Get the beef short rib with a side of cheesy corn. You’re welcome.

When we used to travel there we would all eat at MarketPlace. About 15 minutes from the stadium. Think of it as a high end version of Cracker Barrel but it's really good.

A ton of good info and threads in here if you search by subject only.

Hugo's is the classic place. It will be crowded. Highly recommend putting your name in at Hugo's. Then step next door to Pinpoint (pinball bar) who during October put on a great experience for Halloween. The owner really goes all out to make the bar Halloween themed. There is a small cover. But you can hang there while you wait for your table to get ready at Hugo's.
Other places in the Block / Square area that are worth checking out: Maxine's (classic shotgun bar with a long history and great cocktails), the Vault (upscale modern cocktail bar), Guisinger's (larger cocktail bar and restaurant), Feed and Folly (excellent rooftop dining).
Off block: we go to South Market a lot. The Meteor is there, and we really enjoy sitting outside with berages. Also has Fayetteville Taco and Tamale there along with a BBQ joint.
City Park is an outdoor dining area with a good ordering system and good vibes. They have a little BBQ food trailer on top of their other offerings, and I usually order from there.
Leverett Lounge is probably one of my favorites for sitdown dinner. It's small, though, and can take a while to get seated.
An underrated place on Dickson (about the only place I go on Dickson now) is Puritan. We mainly go for one of the food trucks that sits outside there, Moff's Pizza. He often sells out by 6:30pm or so, but it's amazing pizza. Puritan has good outdoor and indoor seating.

Where are you guys staying?
Downtown Fayetteville…Hugo’s, Hammontrees, Theos, and Feed and Folly off the square.
To be honest, public areas to tailgate will be tough to come by. I’d suggest looking for parking passes online for Lot 320-322. It’s a large lot just off of MLK. Has grass around edges. Baum East would be an option as well. It’s a little farther away but there are shuttle buses before and after the game.
The terrain is just a bit different than most SEC locations. It’s hilly and flat ground and grass in some locations is hard to come by. Hog Town is a large party/tailgate put on by the UA on the north side of the stadium on Maple, just outside of The Pit. The Gardens is another tailgate spot but those are reserved ahead of time.
Just looked on Seat Geek and there are some passes for sale.

Curious how all you corn dogs' trip to Fayetteville was?
It was beautiful weather for a tailgate and trip to NWA... even though we're in the midst of a historic drought.

Took my boys 8 and 12… we did some hiking at mount magazine state park on Friday. Then ended up going to Mojitos and Dave and busters Friday night. Sat am we did gator mini golf and went to another Mexican restaurant, Luna something.
Parked for free at First Baptist church off Dickson, threw the ball around campus and watched some of bama game in student union.
Campus and area was beautiful. People were nice. Really expected more energy on campus and stadium. Most tame SEC stadium I’ve been to.

Family went up to visit one of the kids in their 1st semester...
Stayed at The Graduate, i guess its the 3rd time we've all been up there.
Hugo's, great place.
Feed and Folly - Good thing the view is great, the rest, meh
Sassy's Red House - Delicious
JJ's on Dickson - Cool place
Farrell's Lounge - Food ok, cool vibe
Very tame for SEC gameday. Had been years since i was in NWA for a Tiger game.

There a private bar in an old speakeasy, replete with a hidden pool / smoking room? Cloudy memories.
