I have to say that in this area I have been truly blessed. I don’t know how I got the good karma points in this area but I did.

I’ve lived in many different places and I can say I’ve never had one single bad neighbor experience. They’ve either all been great or hardly had any contact with them at all. No controversies. No arguments. Nothing.

I know this is not true with a lot of people so I’m curious to read about what hideous things some of you have had to deal with.

Watched OP Live last night and there was a horror story between two neighbors that had broken up. Never date one of your neighbors.

No horror story, but I don’t tend to get to know my neighbors as well as I do others in the area.

None really.

I've been fortunate to have decent neighbors my entire life. Of course, I lived in the country in Louisiana.

They are fairly wealthy. Mid Aged just like us. Three kids. our kids are gone. They eat Adderall like M&M's all the time. Our two pieces of property border one another, but we live in the country each on about five acres. They must leave and come home 10-15 times a day....at least. it's funny as hell. One day they are wanting to kill each other, then the next they are holding hands signing coon bye yah and coming over to hang out. Nothing really bad though. It's free entertainment.

You should kill that guy for putting all that on his house.

just spitballing here, I lived in Fat City Metarie, young and single, and in an apartment complex there. Older dude was my neighbor and was retired from the military. He refused to buy a house, said it was too much work, and was content to live the rest of his life in apartments.

He and I walked down to Crazy Johnny's Steakhouse, I told him I was buying his dinner, I sucked down Crowns as he got on a poker machine. He had put $20 in and was up like $800 or more. Amazing.

Food came, and I was like, hey dude, I bought you this plate of food, come take a break and eat it.

His response: frick YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Translation, dude was a gambling addict. He refused to leave the poker machine and he did actually grab one half handful of steak and wolf it down like fricking alligator.

45 minutes later, he's still engulfed in the video poker game, I"m like "hey dude, I'm outta here" and again he's like "frick YOUUUOOOOOOOUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He was still my neighbor for probably 6 more months or something but we never spoke again

he probably lost ever penny of that $800 he had going

I know a couple cats like this.

Growing up my neighbor across the street punched my dad and he had to get stitches.

In college we lived off bright side. We walked home from tiger land one night and a guy was yelling and choking his girlfriend while he held her out of the window. It looked there was a bed by the window and he was two-hand choking her with her torso out the window while he was screaming. At first we thought it was crazy sex but he was screaming "I'm going to fricking kill you bitch" and she was clearly crying and scared.

Me and a buddy ran over and started yelling. It was a black dude and a white chick. He started using some slurs so we started using some slurs. Next thing I know we're in a fight with him and and his friend, while we're fighting the girl who was getting choked runs outside and hits me with a mop, like starts fricking me up with it.

Cops show up, break it up. Give us warning and she went back into the apartment with them.

We lived like two townhouses over so me and that guy crossed paths quite a bit but usually ended in us flipping each other off, never became physical again.

It's a shame but I'm going to teach my son to stay away from those situations. I think if she would have had a gun she would have shot me. Best just to call the law and keep on walking.

I’ve been blessed with good neighbors.

The worst and best were both in same apartment building.

Downstairs was a couple of young guys who worked nights at former magazine publishers production plant in Stillwater, OK. They were the worst simply because they had a medium sized boa that would escape into the walls of the building and re-emerge in other people’s apartments. Never mine but the next door neighbor at night a couple of times. Kinda surprised it skipped me since I had an Oscar fish raised from the size of my thumb to nearly the length of my forearm.

The best were the two ladies at the other end of the 2nd floor upstairs. One was smoking hot, girl next door type and the other was typical average white girl. Both OSU students and smart, nice, personable. They owned a couple of male dogs, Dalmatian and Chow. The dogs were left on the main balcony floor when the girls were home and were great pets. The girls came running out when I 1st moved in afraid the dogs were going to attack because they “didn’t like guys” to find both dogs on their backs wagging their whole bodies while licking my fingers. Never had a problem with either the dogs nor the gals.

I had a neighbor who lived 2 doors down that allowed her golden retriever to crap on my pristine lawn every day. She would walk her heathen kid to the bus stop daily then take her dog off the leash and allowed her dog to unload on my lawn before returning home. A neighbor advised me of this travesty and I watched her do this 3 times . I calmly knocked on her door then advised her that I had witnessed the violation 3 times and to please cease and desist. She told me to go pound sand but it never happened again. She hated my guts forever.

I've got a guy down the street that has a muscle car that is loud as crap. He fires it up and revs the engine all the time over there tinkering with it. It's really loud. This morning, at 7:30 am, he cranks it up and speeds down the street in it, with some jackass friend of his behind him on a Harley also with super loud mufflers. Loudest freaking engines I've ever heard. Dogs are freaking out.

Some people have no awareness or care for their neighbors. I won't even cut grass until after 8:00 am on a weekend out of respect for neighbors that may want to sleep in a little late. But that's just me.

Lived in a duplex and the guy next to me would lose his shite every night while playing his video games. I still remember having some buddies over for a game and that fat frick having the audacity to knock on my door and asking me if we could keep it down

I've been mostly blessed too, but I'm a White man so I'm told that's normal and I have the right to that privilege.

Worst for me would be a couple gay dude "roommates". They'd party on who knows what kind of booze and drugs and lock each other out. Wake me up In the middle of the night during a weekday night knocking real hard on their door trying to wake the other up. Id walk out the next morning having to walk over one as he was passed out sitting on the floor. One night one literally tried to take the door off the hinges by knocking it with a hammer. Got one knocked in pretty good before he gave up.

Luckily our bedrooms didn't share a wall. But my privilege kicked in as my wall was shared with a pretty cute girl who got a bit loud and enthusiastic when it was humpin time.

Neighbor girl loved the BBC and had him stay overnight when parents were away. He was dealing drugs out of the house next door. I alerted her mother. She thanked me, acted very concerned, then never spoke to me again.

I totally don't understand the loud engine bullshite.

Why do people do that? It's mental illness mixed with narcissism mixed with whatever else God knows.

Next door to a family with 5 kids ages 4 to 16. All home schooled super religious. Zero bedtime rules that I've noticed so they're always outside playing late and our kids get mad when they have to come in.

They have no backyard play equipment so they always want to use ours.

The Dads brother has a dirt moving business and has driven his hauler over and left it out front at night (HOA soon banned this)

All petty shite that drives me wild.
