Wonder what the MRP ruled.

All in all just a sad turn of events.

In the legal filing, Brooks accuses the coaching staff of encouraging him to practice and play while ill by threatening his starting position, and he levies claims against team trainers for not appropriately diagnosing his condition and refusing, for weeks, to recommend him to a neurological specialist.
If true, this is pretty shitty.

If the things alleged about BK in this lawsuit are true…Not good.

Do sports medicine guys, that are usually PTs and not MDs, typically diagnose a lot of brain cancer?

No shite. Sucks all the way around.

I hate it for Greg. What a nightmare. If he’s entitled to something I hope he gets it.
That being said I seriously doubt there was any mal-intent as described in the article. Just all so unfortunate.

Way out of his contract "not good" especially if he loses a few games the next 3 weeks?
Asking for a friend.

If I'm a betting man then this looks like a money grab. I really doubt Kelly would allow someone to practice if he knew he had problems.

I see the other thread was deleted. This is a serious accusation against Kelly that, if true, will be his downfall. No way he could wiggle out of this accusation if there's any sort of truth to it.
Big if, though.

I hate to say this, but these claims most likely cannot be proved, and more than likely are included to try to get funding for surgeries/the rest of his life. It’s the same when a high school kid gets paralyzed and the coaching staff and trainers get sued. It’s sad, but it’s the way the world works. No matter what school this was, the lawsuit would have the same insinuation.

It was 39 days from the first symptoms to diagnosis.
That's pretty good.

I have been wondering why there wasnt more love back and forth between him and the program and now it makes sense.

Testimony from players who witnessed it could swing it either way.

I feel for Greg. No one should go through that, but your statement and his claims are disingenuous. He was diagnosed with vertigo. That's what Kelly and the staff were working off of. No one knew he had a brain tumor when he was encouraged to fight through his ailment.
Unless his attorneys are trying to rewrite history, the LSU training staff sought more tests when his condition did not improve.

Fair, but even so, if you don’t practice you can lose your spot, right? I mean this is nothing out of the ordinary for typical coaching. This is an unfortunate situation, and his family is doing what they can to set him up for the rest of his life, but there is no way Kelly is going to be fired for this.

Team doctors were also named in the lawsuit, which are both MDs. I'm assuming it has more to do with them diagnosing with him something less severe, without even referring him to an actual neurologist.
