Metallica - Blackened Intro

I could listen to this on repeat for hours. It's not a new riff of course for many of us, but hearing it forwards and backwards sounds amazing. I always knew it was a reversed riff but had forgotten how amazing it sounds forwards even. Hopefully someone else enjoys it. Hell, turn this thread into a favorite reversed samples thread and I'll edit the title.

Back when they had to roll the tape machine in reverse and splice edit with razor blades

Very cool. Every song on that album had a great intro with Eye of the Beholder being the best.

I guess I had always heard it was "backwards", but never really knew what that meant. I have never heard it forwards before just now!

Written and conceived by the criminally underrated and dearly missed Jason Curtis Newsted.

I know people hate on the production of that album (even Kirk and James do), but something about it resonates with me. The bass reverb sounds great to me. Yes they did this to hide Newstead's playing, but I like it. I accept I'm in the minority
