Sweetwater link.
Fiesta Red. Rosewood board. Looks awesome. Reviews are typical YouTube. Fender send the YouTuber a free one, great review. Regular guy. Average to bad review.
If I buy one it will be USED. $2300 for a Fender non custom is too much for me. Mainly as most reviews that are critical point to neck pocket issues and frets.
Frets are less of an issue as the are just period correct. But a crooked wonky neck?? I’ll take that to somebody but I’d want it reflected in price.
Only Red with the Rosewood board. No others will be considered. It scratches my itch.

No idea on the new ones but my main guitar is the '62 AV strat they did in the early-mid 00s. I love it. Took some adjusting and tinkering new but it plays like a dream.

They're good guitars, but I think there are comps that are simply better all around guitars at both the new and used price points.
At new street price, case in point ... here's my take on an early '60s RW. What worked within the original blueprint was left intact. What could be improved upon ... is.
This actually sounds like a 60+ year old Strat and plays 5x better than one. The AV2? Meh.

I feel like Fender is oversaturating the market right now.

I don't know why he doesn't just build exactly what he wants.
He could probably do it for less than a grand.
Maybe he just wants it to say " Fender" on the headstock?
That's meaning less and less all the time. And he can always buy a Fender logo online for 10 bucks.
Hell, he already built an acoustic one time from scratch, this would be much easier.

Not a Fender guy but I love red guitars. My next one will likely be a cardinal red Les Paul in fact.

To my eye that is more candy apple. All about fiesta red for me. lol
The Fender in question is 2200. Used 1500-1700.
I am debating putting up my Taylor 810 up for sale. But just don’t know. Am I selling a guitar for a brief fling with electric guitars? Plus the Taylor is a 1995.

Thanks for remembering.
All that can be said if that guitar (and I am proud of that) is it actually stays in tune. You can measure action with a yardstick though.
If I brought it to Fret with a “make it playable” request.
A. He would weep over the waste of wood.
B. Probably have to quote $1500 for the job. lol. And that would be a decent price.

Yeah, I remember. Building an acoustic guitar without proper tools is almost impossible.
Building electric guitars isn't on the same level of difficulty, as far as the guitar itself. You buy really good parts and put them together.
Pay attention to your work and you can end up with a better guitar than you can buy.
My very 1st electric guitar build is an excellent player.
You can do it.

That's my issue now. Fender now makes chinese knockoff strats.

Yeah I love my JV modified 50s tele and got the Strat 60s edition and never play it even though it probably has the best neck and fretboard of any guitar I have ever played. Kicking myself for not getting the 60s JV tele from that line....but good news is, Fender kicks these reissues and what not out like hot cakes.
