Eagles are releasing former Pro-Bowl LB Devin White. The 26-year-old White has not played in a game this season after signing a one-year deal with Philadelphia this past offseason.

He’s been home the past five weeks.

What's his contract like? I'm assuming not much. I'd put a waiver claim on him since Gay is out for a while and Pete is currently out.
I have not watched many of his games last year or 2 but I find it hard to believe he fell that far from grace that he is not a better option than Anfernee Orji or Isaiah Stallbird. He's got to be better than D'Marco Jackson as well, but he does play a lot of special teams.
At worst you claim White and cut Stallbird, and I doubt Stallbird gets a claim put on him.

He’s not subject to waivers
They guaranteed him 3.5 million and still cut his arse. He sucks

Then he should fit right in here according to most on this board
The thing is, he didn't suck for a while, what happened exactly? Too much wear and tear?

ehhhh
He freelances and got by with athleticism for a couple of seasons.
He's been let go by 2 different successful organizations. He sucks.

How do the waivers work exactly? After so many years in league you are not subject to waivers and it's just an outright cut/release straight to free agency?
Obviously he fell off a good bit, not arguing that. But if you are describing him as "sucks" then how would you describe Orji & Stallbird?

And not good anymore. He was fast enough in his early years to make up how bad he was in coverage.

He's not as quick as he once was

A lot of Bucs fans call him a locker room cancer. IDK about that.

He sucks. Not sure what his problem is but he’s being outplayed by a lot of linebackers. We definitely don’t need him.
