Supposed to go visit family in Destin this weekend. Will Hurricane Milton evac wreck travel to and from BR? Not staying there but I called the state park to get info and they said hurricane should not affect area. I'm worried about traffic, etc.... What does Travel Board think?

I don’t think traffic heading east in that part of the state will be bad at all.

I would reckon there will be a lot of traffic going east after Friday. Linemen trucks, semis full of supplies etc.

You shouldn't have any problems. Friday and Saturday are forecast for beautiful days and Temps. I'll be in Destin Friday for a sunset.

Should be beautiful weather on the panhandle

Traffic will be fine, but the water has been a bit murky the last few weeks. Dont expect the clear swimming poool water we normally have in October.

Drove from Biloxi to Niceville today.
Very little traffic, no problems.

Drove to Orange Beach yesterday afternoon. No traffic at all. Weather is BEAUTIFUL!
That being said, I know of several crews heading east Friday morning for relief efforts.
