I’ve heard Mike Detillier say a thousand times, when a team loses its starting center, they lose the following week 80% of the time. Something to keep an eye on.

Also, SEC teams only win two conference road games in a row like 15% of the time

I could be wrong but I think the stat is they fail to cover the following week.

That has to do with a betting angle involving that team failing to cover the spread. Doesn’t necessarily mean they lose, but it’s more likely after losing their center.

However, I thought this was an NFL thing. I could be wrong

I’d imagine it applies to college as well. The center is the 2nd most important guy to the offensive unit. It changes a lot of what you can call with the backup.

We most certainly have two huge advantages with the bye, and with them having to play on the road back-to-back weeks. Hope SC can stick around enough to grind on the starters.

It's our next game dipshit. Who else are we supposed to talk about on an LSU football message board?

Everything is falling into place. No excuse for CBK to not make the playoffs this year

we used to have a stat during Hallman/DiNardo days, snaps attempted, snaps completed, didn’t matter who was healthy or hurt

We play them next week and they’re a significant road block to the playoffs.

That is correct, and he was talking about the NFL when he said it.
