Sproles listed at 5'6. Holliday at 5'5.
It's only an inch.
Can Holliday become a Darren Sproles?

He ran for about a thousand of that against "The best team in the history of college football" in their conference championship !!

Here is what Sproles was listed as at K State.
Jr. year. So right now, Holliday needs 11 pounds.
Darren Sproles
# 43
RB - RB
Height: 5-7 Weight: 170
Junior
Previous Schools
Olathe North
Olathe, Kan.
After that just give him the ball and see.

HOW MANY CARRIES did Sproles get at KSU? I know they didn't have a C. Scott, or K. Williams, but in our championship season he had more carries. Come on all of your stat guys, how does last year and this year compare in terms of carries TH got?
Given enough chances, he will break one. Sure he can't break tackles, because if given 6 inches of daylight he'll run by everyone on the field and doesn't need to.

quote:Thats the key , TH will never be the primary RB here . He is more of a novelty RB so to speak . Not knocking ,just in LSU's offense its all he will be used for . I forget the KSU quarterback at that time , but if I'm not mistaken they were an option team with a qb that was more likely to run than pass .
Given enough chances, he will break one.

Sproles is a much better player than Holliday.

You are not mistaken.
TH would probably get slower if he got bulkier (totally an opinion). Trindon's future (with LSU and NFL) is as a punt returner/KO returner.
TH's speed against college does not equal speed against NFL.

doubtful.
Trindon is faster straight line speed but there's more to being a running back than running in a straight line.

This topic (now in two threads) is entirely ridiculous. You can't compare these two players because they are both small. Sproles is a natural running back. Trindon is a good kick returner. Sproles can take hits and has other-worldly stop on a dime moves. Trindon is a good kick returner.
No matter how much weight Trindon puts on, he will never be close to Darren Sproles.

If you have seen Sproles run then you should know better. The guy is a special gifted athlete.
TH is ver fast. Sproles is very fast, very strong for his size, and has moves as deceptive as any running at this time.

more carries than trindon's body could handle, and that's the point

and there is the difference. sproles was a solid back on normal plays who always had the threat of breaking the big one. trindon only has the threat of breaking the big one
