Didn’t even realize he had been traded to the Eagles and just read he is about to get traded again.possibly back to the Bucs.

A few years ago I thought the dude was on a path to be All Pro kinda guy.

What happened? Injuries? Attitude?
Both?

What gives with him?

Just bizarre. PHI signs him yet he’s been a healthy scratch the last few weeks.

Idk why he hasn’t played for Philly, read something about an ankle injury, but it seems like there is other drama going on with Philly potentially getting rid of him.

quote:

"Devin White has known two teams during his NFL career, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles.

"Those teams met on the field to battle in a football game this past Sunday. "Things didn't go well for Philly. Somewhere along the line, he may have also forgotten which team pays him.

"Instead of cheering his current team on via social media, he was busy on Sunday reposting a tweet about Lavonte David's forced fumble.

Knox referenced that White reposted a tweet about his former Bucs teammate Lavonte David's forced fumble against his own team.

Fox NFL reporter Greg Auman informed his X followers that White unretweeted the tweet, which caused the Eagles player to respond.

"I only meant to [like] it. That's my twin 4Life "its in my favorites," he replied.

Apparently you can’t cheer for your friends/former teammates

Sounds like it may be an attitude thing if he can’t even rotate in Philly for a season.
Teams usually don’t mid season trade unless they are detrimental to the Team in certain ways.

Just spitballing but I thought there was some disdain in Tampa as well between he and coaching a couple years ago too.

He sucks, and he has for several years. He was never as good as LSU fans thought he was. LSU fans thought he was a NFL Hall of Fame lock once he entered the league.

NFL scouts thought he was good enough to be a top 5 pick.

There was a lot of talk that he was more interested in his stables than football. That was the gossip at least in Tampa right before he left.

Should focus on Football for 7-10 solid years and can buy all the stables he wants

Fuk you talking about?

Guy made a pro bowl and second team all pro in his first 3 years in the NFL.

Players on that trajectory don’t usually end up out of the league in 5-6 years.
So your point of average life if an NFL career is unnecessary in this thread.

He's awful in pass coverage and still doesn't really play linebacker as much as athletes his way through it. David from TB was able to cover a ton of his deficiencies.

Did anyone else feel like he got heavy as he progressed through his career in the NFL? Maybe it was just the Bucs unis, but it looked like he put on some bad weight and wasn't as agile as he was at LSU. Same as Fournette tbh

Basically all of that. He was fast and explosive and made splash plays at times but he was always a bad linebacker.
