Putin Has a Certain Genius for Toxic Diplomacy - Agree or Disagree?

Since the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, not only has the purpose of NATO been reaffirmed post-Cold War, but it has been strengthened beyond what anyone would have thought imaginable even 5 years ago with the addition of Sweden and Finland.
Now even Switzerland is questioning its neutrality.
Regardless of what some U.S. voters think, I firmly believe NATO, its support of Ukraine, and its resistance to authoritarian regimes that seek to disrupt the rules-based international order will outlast the ebbs and flows of the American political cycle.
I have yet to see anyone present evidence that “this is all part of Putin’s plan” or that the effects of the invasion are in Russia’s best interest.
If you disagree, please reply with some evidence to support your position.

Stopped reading after that sentence. Go educate yourself and watch these 2 Oliver Stone documentaries and come back for a discussion in reality

What exactly could the justification be?
1. To rid Ukraine of Nazis? Interesting that Ukraine has a Jewish head of state.
2. To prevent NATO’s expansion? This can’t be, since it has had the complete opposite effect.
3. To reaffirm their control of the Crimea Peninsula? Russia would still hold Crimea if they hadn’t invaded. Now they risk losing it depending on how the war eventually ends.
4. Re-unify Ukraine with Russia? They were never unified, except as part of the USSR alliance. Russia and Ukraine have separate ethnic histories that go back thousands of years.

Russia is in a much stronger position. They proven that sanctions are meaningless and have grown their economy, a no limit partnership with China, a well oiled war machine. Not to mention Putin killed 2 adversaries and is more powerful than ever.

Actually the Obama administration started this when they overthrew the Ukrainian president in 2013.

Ok - so the Ukraine equivalent to the national guard had a squad-sized element take a photo with a Nazi flag.
Riveting justification under jus ad bellum to invade your neighbor.

You sound like a Richard Perle stooge. holy shite, you clowns actually think NATO is stronger than it was. what? why haven't the NATO members increased the number troops in their militaries?
the only NATO member with a military worth shite is Turkey and compared to the European counterparts they are financially weaker.
Oh no, Switzerland is joining NATO. who gives a shite?
Its over buddy, no one gives a shite about the Neocon revolution against bad guys globally. America lost, big time. thanks to you and your ilk. no one is afraid of the US anymore. Also no one is willing to fight and die for this clown world DEI bullshite.

I did not read past this very first six words, nor will I.
If you're going to ignore the decade of western shenanigans in Ukraine right on Russia s doorstep leading up to the Russian invasion, it's not worth attempting to engage in discourse that will omit the most inconvenient truths that undermine the very foundations of your argument.

I have no doubt it will last. The corruption has to go somewhere to hide.

Putin misplayed his hand. He played it as if he had the nuts and lo and behold it wasn’t close.
Since the initial push failed in 2022, Russia lost ground they initially gained in Feb and March. Now they have allowed Ukraine to remain inside the motherland.
So what have they accomplished to date? Very little, and everything they have spent to get this far has only put the west in notice and strengthened the opposition to Russia.
I don’t know the final outcome, but I don’t believe Russia will ever be the same after it’s all over. The neighborhood bully has only a stockpile of nukes to back them up. Everything else is crap.

don't worry bro, we got Sweden in NATO now. one of the wokest and literally cucked countries in the world is going to deter the Russian military.

Because NATO’s strength is in the individualism of the countries, and not the alliance…

Let’s all buy a Tesla so Elon can afford to buy XRussia and end the war.

that makes no sense at all. there is no individualism in NATO.
