With the fact that he hasn’t played up to his potential the last 2 years, and this will most likely affect his draft status, do you expect Perkins to come back next year to improve his stock at off ball LB?

I mean, is he ready for the NFL now (preinjury)? That should answer the question.

I actually think he does. Think about Maason Smith. He’s came back. Didn’t perform probably like he needed to but Maason Smith is NOT Harold Perkins

No one on here knows. The majority of this board thought Maason Smith should have returned last year. He ended up a 2nd round pick and is currently on an active NFL roster

Doubtful. You can bet he was told by every college program in the country, including LSU, that he could go pro after 3 years

Maason was a true junior in ‘23 after the ACL injury in ‘22. He had to come back.

Bro, Smith did not come back. The year he was injured was his Sophomore year. He wasn't eligible to be drafted and had to come back.

He 'came back' because he was injured as a sophomore and played his junior year, then declared. Perkins is a junior and draft eligible after this year. He gone.

He didn't come back for his senior year. He came back after his ACL injury because he was a sophomore that year.

Damn I’ve missed him all year. Is Baker holding him out until the Ole Miss game?

No. Smith came back after an ACL tear and played his junior year. He left as soon as he was able to.

And Maason Smith has yet to play a single down for Jacksonville this year. Just because that poverty franchise drafted him doesnt mean he was good, or that it was a smart decision. 2nd Round Pick at a position of need and not playing a single down 3 weeks in is not a great look.
