Fast forward to 8:45pm this Saturday night against USA

10:37 left in the 3rd Quarter. LSU is up a comfortable 14 points with the ball. 76° and low-to-normal amount of humidity (go check forecast if you don’t believe me). An otherwise perfect night in Tiger Stadium where, perhaps, even a whisk of Fall is in the air. What is your guess of the % of the stadium that is filled? We can’t blame it on the weather this time.
I plan on going to the game, but by golly I can’t wait to high tail it out of there after half! When people ask me why I left early, I’ll just blame it on the traffic or something else vague, although deep down it’s because I just know something feels…. ‘off’. Oh well.

Just posted in the other thread, but it bears repeating:
It looks ridiculous on national television when the stadium is half empty at halftime in a tie game. Ooooo, Death Valley. Ooooooo, so difficult to play there. Outside of a handful of games, it hasn’t been that way in years.

Look I get the narrative, and it's legit, more than half our fan base these days goes to games for the social aspect and it's a product of both the times we are in and the evolution of society where there are many more entertainment options than there were 40 years ago when I cut my teeth on LSU sports.
My brother will never accept or excuse it he harps on it non-stop all the time but I've long ago accepted it and understand it. I don't like it, but what are you going to do.
But I've sat on that east side for hot afternoon games before and I don't begrudge anyone bailing on that. My cousin who is as die hard stay till the end as anyone I know only made it till half. It was brutal on that east side.
