Propose a law to combat day games in September

My first thought is to have the legislature ban outdoor stadiums with a seating capacity over x from starting a game prior to 5:00 between the months of May and September.
Another thought would be to mandate any outdoor stadium hosting a sporting event where the temperature at the start of the event is over 92 degrees must sell bottles of water of a size no less than 12 ounces for a price of no more than $1

At the very least water should be stationed around the entire stadium in those huge jugs. I’ve seen them at Mississippi St. and in Vegas outside of the stadium.

No amount of bottled water could combat that sun on the East side in the 1st.
It was brutal for kids and the elderly.

The new players’ union will say we’re not playing if temperature is forecast to be above 92 for an hour or more during game.

TV money controls the game.
They decide what they decide.

Domes are so much better

The better thing to do would be to require air conditioner areas of x size.

I spoke to a cop after the game and he said it was pretty much every few seconds there was a call for Acadian Ambulance for heat related issues. This isn't going to get solved by contacting LSU or the SEC. It's going to take the shitty state legislature to end it.
The key is to write it so that it doesn't prevent LSU from hosting baseball regionals and supers. Also, don't want to write it to where the network says we can't give you the 2:30 game, so we'll put you at 11:00

State law - no games in Tiger Stadium will start before 6 pm until the second Saturday in October. Doesn’t have to have anything to do with baseball.
And extend it to other schools if they desire to be included. That shite in Lafayette yesterday looked miserable too.

So are the threads that think contacting LSU or the SEC is going to do anything. The state fire marshal can determine how many people can be in the stadium. Is there a state health official that can determine it's unsafe to have fans sit through that?

Yes more government is always the answer.
How about stop being fricking pussies and hydrate/dress accordingly before the game. Mix a few waters in with those beers you’re pounding.
ETA: Many of us Sat thru App St. in ‘08, Tennessee in ‘05. There have been far hotter games than this one.

I said the same thing in a previous post. Have the legislature pass a law to for public health reasons to ban day games through the middle of September or October and have Landry sign it. There would be nothing the SEC or ESPN could do about it.
Night games = extra sales tax revue for Baton Rouge and the state.

Can be simpler than that: No athletic event can be played in enclosed stadiums if temp is >90°

I sit in an area of the press box. The window panes were open, but there was zero sun and the AC hitting my back. I bet there was a 30 degree difference between me and the east side.

The fact that this post has 31 upvotes is sad. We need less Government intrusion not more.
