i got roasted for assuming he put on too much weight, does he not look too slow to anyone? Or is the game too fast for him still and hes playing slow? Hard to figure out which one

If he gets passed up permanently by Bull Durham (with Berry, Holly incoming) he might be a Spring Portal candidate. Seems Jackson has always been a “potential” player. Hope he proves us wrong.

Exactly the opposite. He lacks patience and is playing "too fast"

He looked fast on that 19-yard run in the 3rd quarter.
He ran right by #7 Emmanwori.

He's a sophomore powerback that still needs to learn the game. When you are the baddest dude on the field since 9th grade, you don't have to learn anything, you just play with your natural talent. It is not that hard to figure out.

He isn't really good at setting up his run/blocks.

His cutting doesn't look good this yr. Some of it is blocking but some of it is on the back. He needs reps.

Durham kept cutting it back to the left. That isn't going to be there every game. I have been calling Durham mini guice since he committed.

He is an old school power eye back. A lot like Fornette. He would benefit starting 6-7 yards behind the QB running a bunch of ISO's behind a big strong fullback leading him to the hole.
Instead he takes 1-2 steps and we give him the ball an ask him to run laterally and find a hole. He lacks the vision and agility for this role.

Agreed. He’s plenty fast! Just needs to allow things to happen. Patience allows good vision. He’s pressing a little too much at the moment.

He had some really good runs against Wisconsin, especially his TD run which he showed good vision. Once he puts it together he’s going to be special.

A RB needs to get into a rhythm and groove. Kaleb Jackson IS a very solid RB and fast as doo-doo. It comes down to the amount of touches. He will break out and impress and you clowns will turn right around and be on his bandwagon. KJ may be the best RB we have.

Trent Richardson (as a pro) syndrome.

Hope he gets better vision. I really want to root for this guy.
