DTL murdered a girl down the street from my apartment.
SVG murdered my friends mom. He worked at a convenience store and we used to buy beer from him. I worked at a liquor store near Tigerland. He brought his last victim there and she bought beer and crack pipe supplies. The receipt was in her clothes and a detective came talk to me a couple days later
ETA I also know a woman that’s a former prostitute that swears DTL picked her up a few times during his killing spree

I remember the months long manhunt. He was alleged to have killed the mother of a child at the babysitter we used in Zachary and to this day her body has not been found despite being publicized on national TV.
When he was caught the community breathed a sigh of relief but nobody realized there were two more working out there in BTR...

Derek killed one of the women at a house in the same bedroom I lived in 2 years prior. Killed another woman 5 houses down from where I was living at the time. he killed one of them while I was in Europe so I was not a suspect…

I knew a nurse that worked there and dealt with him a few times. She said the solitary of death row had sort of driven him insane, and that he seemingly looked at every female with complete disdain... as if he wanted to kill them on the spot.
