I am personally against it. If JJ gets hurt in the spring, we will be in the same position as last year. We still need experienced depth. If he plays, I'll think of the Auburn game, not Georgia.

I realize RS is coming in, but we can't sit here and think he would be an effective passing QB on day 1.

finally, someone with a functioning mellon. big mistake if he leaves/quits...can you say 'perril-who'?

Not that we have control over it, but this is dangerous thinking. We are one JJ sprained ankle away from being fricked.

Carl - during the spring, somebody on the recruiting board suggested that with Shepard and Garrett, we might be getting too many QBs. I said, basically, 6 isn't too many, 7 might be, but while the problem of too many usually fixes itself, the problem of too few usually "fixes" the season (and an ironic use of the word "fix", I might add.)

we lost the ARK game bc our defense didnt make a single stop in the second half, not bc of JJ.

wrong, we lost the Arky game b/c we did not get a first down in the 4th quater, and NINE total yards. 2 first downs in the 4th, and we end up in victory formation for the last 3 plays ...period.

i havent read all four pages but ive seen people saying that if JJ gets hurt were fked but i think people are forgetting about hatch. no hes not the all star QB we all want but i personally think hes 1000000x beter than Lee...he wont make many mistakes and is pretty consistant. hell be able to come in and run the offense until either Shep is ready or JJ is healthy (if he gets hurt)

I don't think he should go to 1AA though. The kid can play D1 football, just maybe not at LSU. He would be very good at Rice or TCU.

It really doesn't matter what we think as we all know. It wouldn't surprise me if Lee or Hatch transfer or both for that matter. And it won't surprise me if they both stay. I think it will be discussed thoroughly with them, and whats best for all concerned will apply. They will know where they stand. And thats good.

One of the dumbest fricking statements I've ever seen on this board!!!
Please go take a long walk off a short pier and if that doesn't work, go home, stick your head in the toilet and take as many deep breaths as needed to get the job done! Please go away and don't come back!

did you watch the uga game? or the bama game? jl needs to go, if for nothing else for his own sanity and mine. the kid will never have the support and confidence of his teammates here. no one will forget all the pick 6s and terrible decisions he made.

I think Lee has the potential to be a damn fine SEC quarterback. If he transfers, I hope he chooses somewhere with a higher quality of competition than SFA/McNeese. At least CUSA or WAC level. Hell there are Big XII teams that would take him, even with his performance this year.

How does any of us really know that RS will be an effective qb at this level at all? I mean really, there is no way to know. Look at all the recruiting busts not only that we've had over the years but all major schools.

Were you reading this board when he was throwing interceptions last Fall?

Probably. This guy was consistently verbally abused in class, so much so he wouldn't even show up to class or he'd go the back way. Really sad.

Easy to get a first down, when you're sitting on your arse right? The second half penetration at Arkansas and Ole Piss game was ridiculous, no QB could do anything about that.

I really think we need JL to back-up JJ. Given the right time circumstances, I think JL will improve. In case JJ gets injured, we're down to Hatch and JJ next year and neither can really throw to keep defenses honest.

I like what I'm hearing about JJ but other than Patrick Peterson, no freshman at LSU has ever lived up to the hype. It takes time to develop into a winner at the next level.

That's how we treat our own at LSU. You know, sort of like the weakest of the litter, the runt.

if you transfer from one D1 school to another, doesnt that require you to sit out a year?
