He also mentioned this being Nussmiers first true road game. He said Vegas was basically a home game for LSU (which is totally laughable).

Just because of the amount of LSU fans that showed up.

He is correct. This is his first true road game in a hostile environment.

He’s been in Kyle field and BDS when the game was still close. He’s seen loud environments. But it’s different being QB1

SEC championship game in 2022 vs UGA in Georgia was basically a road game vs one of the best defenses of all time.

By hostile environment do you mean the city of Columbia in general?

LSU was so far away from winning that game so Nuss didn’t have much on the line other than hurl it downfield and hope for the best.

I wouldn’t consider that game relevant here.

He started to say, “he’ll be fine.”

my daughter goes to USCe and I've been to a couple games there. They may not have had a ton of success over the years, but that stadium gets loud.

To some degree, yes. But there was a point in that game where Georgia fans started to get a little nervous. Georgia, up 35-10, fumbled the ball away on the opening possession of the 2nd half. LSU went 57 yards in less than a minute to make it 35-17. No big deal. The UGA went 3 and out on their next possession. Nussmeier quickly brought LSU to the UGA 5. Had LSU scored there it would be 35-24 with LSU having ALL of the momentum. I promise you, the UGA fans were getting a little nervous, and Nuss wasn't playing like it was garbage time.

Is this the first time he will walk onto an opponent's field to take the first snap? Yes. But he's been in games where the outcome was still in the balance vs. much better opponents in their home stadiums. The noise will still have some degree of effect early on. But this isn't a true freshman about to start his first road game ever

Man I looked before the storm, could fly out of Lafayette Friday and back on Saturday and get a lower bowl ticket all for less than $700.00.

Vegas was not a home game. It was 90/10 LSU outside, but was 53/47 inside.

Does the team still make their entrance to Zarathustra (theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey)? That and Sandstorm were cool back in the day, but seem pretty lame now.

Nuss didn't look good at Auburn in '22. Emery did fumble it back to them but still

yes, but I don't think it's lame at all. I think it's unique and pretty darn cool.

To each their own. It just seems dated.
