Planes collide at Hartsfield, Knocking the Tail Off One

According to the FAA, the Delta Airbus was headed to Tokyo and the Endeavor Bombardier was headed to Lafayette, Louisiana.
"There have been no reported injuries at this time and customers are being transported back to the terminal where they will be reaccommodated on alternate flights," Delta added in a statement. "There were 221 customers on DL295 and 56 customers on DL5526. At this time, no additional operational adjustments are expected."
A photo from the scene appears to show the tail of that second plane knocked off.
Surely one of our OTers was on the Laffy flight

That is actually good to hear. Knowing Delta, I wouldn't have been shocked if they had tried to duct-tape the tail back to the rest of the airplane and roll on like normal.

Sucks to be the people on board the flight to Tokyo. They were just getting ready to take off on a long arse flight and now they've got a long arse delay as well.
