It’s embarrassing that Collinsworth has no idea what the rules are

Yes OT rules.

Other team should at least get the ball to try and tie it or win it. And the 10 minute quarter in OT is retarded

Every time they update it to appease the whiners, yall find a new thing to whine about

Football is about both sides of the ball. If a team can shove the ball down your throat for 10 straight plays for TD, you don’t deserve a shot to play after that.

So why can’t the other team have a chance to shove it down the other teams throat for 10 plays?

I will hang up and listen

I think you meant to say it's about the coin flip right? Cause pretty sure the rams would have done the same thing, both teams were dead on their feet out there.

Because they guessed a coin was going to land on the wrong side.

Meh it's fine for the regular season.

You're trying to break a tie. They already had 4 quarters to win, and all they had to do was try to get a stop to get the ball bac to win it.

The other team should have the same opportunity. I'd rather that than a coin toss deciding the game. frick it, let's go forever so one team can print some cups...

The coin toss didn’t decide the game. The rams defense looking like a high school team in overtime did.

They didn’t earn the chance. Defense matters. Sorry.

So then both teams should be forced to play defense...

Nice self own.

Same thing I was thinking. They were on defense because of a coin toss, made no sense.

I don't think I agree with you. I'm sorry. I don't even like the Rams, but it just doesn't seem right. How do you know by OT that the opposing team wouldn't also get run all over?

I don't know the perfect solution, but I think I like the idea of giving each team the ball from the 50. Of course that would feel too college like for some, so I get not liking that as well. I do think starting at the 25 yard line would be too silly for pro football.

I am open to other OT suggestions though and could even agree that the current OT rules is fine. It's slightly better than what it was before.

I'm more disgusted by the new kickoff rules than the OT rules.

Exactly.

This is what I was trying to say, but you got straight to the point and simplified it for me.

The current OT still leaves too much value in winning a coin toss. That seems wrong to me.

Both teams could be gassed enough by OT that they get run all over that opening possession. Rams could have easily won the toss and then drove down for a game winning TD as well.
