Interesting that GT is ranked with a win over Georgia State and a walk off against FSU, but BC who took mercy knees in Tallahassee isn’t ranked.

USC jumps 10 spots on a 7 point win against LSU, but LSU falls 5 spots?

Didn't they technically have a win against the #10 team in the country??

Where was Oregon last week?

They struggled a bit against the Vandals. Not unusual for a opening week game to be a bit blah, just curious if they dropped.

We'll be saying the same thing about the #6 or 7 in the CFP rankings at the end of the season

Jesus Christ, I have to educate you morons every fricking year. Teams are not “rewarded” with “jumps” after wins. Nor are they “penalized” with “falls” after losses. They are simply re-ranked with the updated data.

At least that’s how it should be. I don’t think there are 17 teams better than LSU, but polls should be extremely fluid early in the season when we have the least amount of data. But again, they are re-ranked. Not rewarded or punished.

Pretty fair all around. Oregon needed to lose some spots with the Idaho game. And Ohio State is probably feeling better about their road game coming up in Eugene. For a team that hasn't won the Pac-12 with Lanning or made it to the playoff, the nation has been subject to an endless amount of unearned Duck hype.

1-15: Twelve are either B1G (5) or SEC (7)

16-25: Eight are either Big12 or ACC
(The four Big12 teams are ranked ahead of the four ACC teams.)

Michigan and Oregon ahead of USC.

I guess LSU is now on par with Idaho and Fresno for close wins.

Polls for the first month are more designed to make TV matchups look sexier for the viewers.
