It's not official until TulaneLSU declares it.

We're cooling down into the 80s for a couple days around Houston. What a difference it makes to finally finish with August.

August in the Houston area, and sometimes September, is awful: 100 degree highs with 80 degree lows, 60% and higher humidity, possible hurricanes, any rain is flash flood capable, and you pray that the grid doesn’t fail. Your AC works harder than a one armed monkey with two bananas to keep it at 75 and you sweat like a diabetic in a candy store.

1/10. Do not recommend. I greet each fall and all cold fronts with all the enthusiasm of an incel to a lady of the night.

Same. It's the best time of the year knowing we are almost done with that crap for about 7 months

What are you seeing?

I just see highs in the upper '80s (like, 88 and 89) and lows in the '70s with rain for most of the week.

Friend,

I look fondly forward to that thread as well as an update as to how mother is doing.

Friend

As you well know, the definition of Front Day is the first Saturday in New Orleans after a long and hot summer. The weather must be sunny. The high should be in the 70s and a low must be 60 or lower. The dew point will be in the 50s or lower. Usually there is a wind with a northern component. On some Front Days, it feels like it is the first time in months you can go outside and suck in a full breath of fresh and clean air.

I'm seeing lows in the 50s next weekend in BR but highs still in the 85-89 range. I'll take it though. Swamp arse season is on notice.

TulaneLSU’s Front Day thread is a staple of this board. I hope Mother has her hot chocolate ready to go.
