Looking for some feedback. The wooden ones we had growing up all rotted out and fell apart.
The ones we are looking are vinyl and are supposed to last. They come with 20 yr warranty.
Downside, they expensive.

those things always are better in concept than execution. There’s a reason when we were kids all the stuff in the playgrounds was galvanized steel

Bought this for my grandkids....lucky little guys.
But it is constant upkeep to keep it sealed and replace any rotting areas. (Redwood)
Go with vinyl or metal...any pictures?

I went with a wood one like posted above. As they said, have to chase rotted wood because they used that cheap Chinese cedar.
I avoided the vinyl because where it’s located will have direct sunlight until my trees mature. Was worried the vinyl would get too hot in the direct sunlight. Reviews were 50/50 about the heat, so played it safe with the wood

I'm old enough to remember public parks with stainless steel slides.

So fast...also so hot in direct sun. Also fun with skates on. All the good ideas.
