There is no comparison here for Apples due to their cost.

Had my PC built at Computer Micro for about $2100 + tax. Computer Micro is like a home depot for computers. It has twelve 4 ghz AMD water cooled processors, 32 gig of ram, an Nvidia RTX graphics card with 2000 cudas, a server size case with a big power supply and a couple of 1T SSD drives for boot and virtual ram.

It's great for 3D rendering except I don't do that anymore.

Macbook Air I purchased last Christmas season when it was on a pretty good sale (25% off).

My last one was purchased in 2014 and lasted almost 10 years....I only replaced it b/c its 2nd battery was starting to underperform.

My work computer is a Dell thin client that remotes to a virtual machine. It's only there really to power my 4 monitors. Also have a work Dell XPS laptop when I travel. Personally, I have a prebuilt tower with a mid-range graphics card, a Ryzen 5, and 16GB of RAM. Also have a small Lenovo $500 special laptop.

12 cores or 12 processors? There is a large difference.
