Pathetic that we have a bunch of grown adults still in denial about 2003 split title

Since many of you keep screaming about who “got the trophy” in 2003 (as if that’s a good argument anyway
), I suppose I will have to educate you. The crystal football trophy is the Coaches Poll Trophy that has been given out from 1986 until the present. It predated the BCS and still exists today after the fall of the BCS.
There also been a AP national championship trophy awarded during that timespan, and it continues to be awarded today. In the link above is the AP national championship trophy awarded to Southern California in 2003.
It’s pretty pathetic that we still have a bunch of 40 and 50 year old grown-arse men in our fanbase in denial about the 2003 co-national championship. It’s been 21 years, and it’s time to stop being salty and get over it.

Idk if I’ve ever come across an LSU fan that said any of this. Who is this directed to

What's the confusion? We are the true champions of 2003. It's not really debatable. AP trophy became irrelevant after the BCS was invented and now even more so with the CFP

Nah. We just had threads with large numbers of posters claiming that LSU was the national champion in 2003. It is 100% false, and these people haven’t gotten over it apparently.

Yes. Go take a look at the NCAA official records. Two national champions in 2003.
