Question about Texas' economy

Texas' economy seems to be pumping and the envy of just about every other state right now.
I'm the furthest thing from a renowned economist and I barely passed intro to Macroeconomics in college, but why are we supposed to believe that immigration from Central America will destroy America's economy again? I'm seriously asking.

Nobody complains about immigration, it's illegal immigration people are up in arms about.

It won’t.
They are a blessing.

This may be surprising to you but Texas was once part of Spain then became a part of Mexico. Hence the high percentage of the population being Hispanic/Lation origin and a good number of them are against illegal immigration.

It will will in fact destroy lazy people.

First, not all Hispanics are illegal.
Second, most of the illegals prefer sanctuary states. Admittedly. Downtown Dallas, Austin, Houston PD and probably all of San Antonio are de facto sanctuary jurisdictions, but drive 15 miles out of downtown, that isn’t likely to be the case.
Third, most of the illegals that do remain in Texas tend to work the same way most of them do in Atlanta (think Buford highway, Gwinnett, etc.)
Illegals from the northern triangle are not working at Chevron, Oxy, the medical center, or at the financial services joints in DFW, etc, which is where the money comes from to support the costs they incur. $1 Billion

people complain about illegals until it is time to hire roofers, painters, and many mindless trades.

Apparently mass deportation would cripple the hotel and restaurant industry in larger cities. I don't know because I don't live there, but it seemed sort of interesting.

worth stating again

Native Hispanics really, really do not like illegals. Most of our border patrol are Latino, and abuela will totally drop a dime on an illegal group crossing over her land.

I dont, because id rather pay more for a roof so that my children inherit an actual country and not a decaying fricking empire with serfs that cant even speak the language.

at what point in American history have we ever opted to pay more vs importing cheap labor?

If we're all honest, we'll all agree that without south of the border immigrants (for many decade now), our economy driven by the lowest wage workers available (and willing) in the lowest desirable positions would be problematic. Removing this population today by a wave of a wand would grind so much of our daily life to a screeching halt it's scary.
My opinion for years and years here is that it's always been by design by both politicians and the business community. They're all in the same gang, so, by design, one group takes on the blame for it while the other campaigns on economic prosperity and growth.

Well, a few things. 1) take a look at the economy and environment they are coming from. Does it scream success to you?
2) anytime there is a shadow economy and labor force (like there is due to illegal immigration) it suppresses the growth of the middle class and hinders wealth creation.
3) a lot of todays illegal immigration isn’t like the immigration that drives Texas’ economy to the current envious position - hence Texas shipping out the illegals as fast as we can.
Now I know you were trolling and not looking for a real answer, but maybe stew on these points a bit.

You are clearly not a mind reader and give yourself way too much credit for your ability to do so.

You need to get a job

The economy is wholly irrelevant as to illegal immigration. Every country must have defined borders. Every country in history until now felt obliged and obligated to defend its borders from any invasion. It’s a very recent thing for anyone to consider their own country’s border “racist” or even justify having no border.

Texas' economy is booming because of the goods coming across the boarder not the people. Supply chains are relocating from Asia to Mexico. Mexico has favorable demographics and low-end skills. The US has not-horrible demographics and high-end skills. It will be mutually beneficial for both countries. Texas is reaping the benefit from that because of the co-location of re-shored manufacturing.
The ILLEGAL crossings don't pay FEDERAL taxes because FEDERAL taxes are paid on income. They don't pay the taxes that are used to pay for the majority of services that they receive. It is a drain. TEXAS has the right idea because of their consumption and property based taxes. It doesn't matter if they are ILLEGAL or not because they pay their share through their consumption or their rent (whose landlord pays property taxes).
