Headed to Raleigh next month for a concert and just a quick 3-4 day trip.

Any must sees or must eats in the area?

The Angus Barn is a pretty good place to eat.

Franky's Fun House and Museum of Life Sciences are always a hit with the kids.

Yates Mill is a nice walk

Not really a dinner restaurant, but we always go to the Goodberry's frozen custard place. It's just a cool atmosphere.

Who you going to see and what venue? Where are you staying? I recommend the Lynnwood Grill & Brewing Concern over near Brier Creek. I wouldn't call it a "must eat" joint but it has decent food and great beers. I like their Once You Go Black IPA. I have a couple other spots but they're out of the way a little bit. If I had some time to kill, I'd run out to Big Bob's City Grill in Hillsborough and have some pork chops. Then I'd go get some ice cream at Mapleview Farms and sit on their porch for a bit.

Caffe Luna
Caffe Luna is in the downtown area.

42nd St Oyster Bar
42nd St Oyster Bar is not far from
downtown.

If you want very upscale (I assume, I’ve never been) there is this place:
quote:

HERONS One of only 64 Forbes Five-Star restaurants in the world, Herons is the signature restaurant of The Umstead Hotel and Spa and annually acclaimed among the best restaurants in and around Raleigh, North Carolina. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, the intimate, 98-seat dining room features a full-view kitchen, a meticulously curated private art collection and floor-to-ceiling window views of the surrounding gardens and grounds.

Depends on where you’re staying.

Many good food options. Raleigh? Depends on age. 50+? 42nd St is solid for NC seafood. Cortez on Glenwood is good. For Asian go Brewery Bhavana or Bida Manda (book a month in advance for either)
