Really thinking outside the box here

Lambertville, LBI, Princeton, Hopewell

Outside the Northeast corridor (which is where I am from) NJ is pretty nice. Washington county in the north west and Ocean County (inland) in the northern shore area aren't crazy expensive and the schools are better than private schools in most of the country.

We had an offsite company event at Crystal Springs resort, that place was pretty fricking amazing and I don’t even play golf

To do what? I live in Point Pleasant and it's a great chill surfing/fishing beach town. Especially between labor day and winter when all the fests are going on and beach vacationers are gone

Lambertville/New Hope (PA side) is a great area for restaurants and walking around the river.
Morristown area has good restaurants.
Lots of Revolutionary War sites around the state.
Especially in the very NE, lots of crazy neighborhoods to drive around and look at the mansions.

If you're going to do the Lambertville and Princeton thing, you might as well do history shite in and around Trenton. Washngton Crossing is right up the road, just follow the route his army took to the capital.

Really need more info, where are you? What exactly are you looking to do?
The shore has some awesome towns, the area by New Hope, PA / Lambertville, NJ is great. You have awesome towns with great main streets, westfield, summit, montclair, ridgewood.
New Jersey is a beautiful state but its hard for me to even begin to point you in the right direction.
Like think about how ridiculous it would be if I started a thread "Any recs for Lousiana?" what does that even mean

Actually, I am loving the replies. I love an open ended question like that because it may open you up to great experiences you wouldn’t have thought of otherwise.
But generally I like hiking, golfing, being in a climate different than the Louisiana scorching heat. In the rare times it is cold in Louisiana, that is when i head somewhere warmer.
Crystal Springs/Ballyowen is the leader in the clubhouse for me right now.

Crystal springs would be a good option then. That area of New Jersey is super rural with mountains, hiking, lakes etc. I’m actually playing ballyowen next fri I’ll take some pics. You could easily add on portions of the Hudson / upstate NY which is about 1-1.5 away and about the best place on earth in the fall

But Ballyowen and CP are truly stunning.

Crystal Springs has a miniature golf putt putt course all around the edge of the resort, but it is real grass and not Astroturf, first time I ever seen that
It doesn’t look cheesy, it is super nice… water features, rock formations, they did one fricking hell of a job landscaping that place

Seaside Heights or asbury park or wildwood Boardwalk and beach
Island beach state park for pristine beach. Close to seaside boardwalk
Hoboken or Jersey City for Italian city culture with a short cool subway ride under Hudson River into Manhattan.
Skylands Manor and State Park in Ringwwod NJ for easy to moderate nature hiking and scenery and fall colors.

We go to Palisades Park on occasion for Korean food. It's basically New Jersey's Koreatown, worth a visit if you like Korean food, and probably bigger, better, and cheaper than Koreatown in NYC.
