For a successful man in a position of power over other successful men is the baffling part.
How could any self assured conscience male who cares about this country and somewhat aware, jump on the bandwagon with Kamala?

Just so odd to me.

His dad was a liberal college administrator at some school in middle east.
He got murdered by crazy Muslim.
Probably fricked his head up.

Both his parents were/are academics/professors. He was raised in that liberal environment.

It’s easy for people who don’t have to worry about money to be on that side. All those Hollywood elites and celebrities can eat a bag of dic##. They have no idea what real life is. Any policy affects them none.

I kind of get it now, but man have some pride for yourself and your country.

It's Steve Kerr.

Having a beer with that guy 1 on 1 at a tailgate would be painful, including for him.

They not like us.

But it was the guns fault, assuming the murder was with a gun, and not the actual killer's fault. Says every Leftist, and Kerr.

This.

White leftists are either uber rich or they're entitled kids with zero responsibilities whose parents pay for everything.

He’s a pussy that grew up in a bubble and doesn’t relate to middle class citizens.

I guess their family isn’t a fan of logic.

Yeah he has always been on the far left. I don’t think it helped much that he played and coached for Greg Popavich. He is not on very far left but he has a big mouth to go with it.

He’s good at bouncing a ball and putting a ball in a basket. He’s good at showing a bunch of dummies how to bounce a ball and put it in a basket.

And hasn’t he always been a giant pussy all his life?

Take away his bouncy ball and he’s probably a shift leader at Outback Steakhouse.

He still supports the woke logic after his father was murdered. Collecting money by being huge pussy.

Like others have pointed out, he grew up in an ideological bubble and has never had to exist in the real world. People like that, that end up with money, never have to live with the consequences of their votes and have no concern for others that do. They preach compassion and tolerance but they are the exact opposite.

What happened is that he overcame his father getting murdered to have a successful college basketball career and earn a college degree. He played 15 seasons in the NBA and won 5 championships, including 4 in a row at one point. As an NBA coach he’s won four more titles….

But he has the audacity to have differing political views! Oh the humanity!

It’s comical reading all the excuses …”his parents were liberal”, “he was around Pop too long”, “he has white guilt”, “his father’s death messed him up”….

Did you ever think that at some point, good, honorable, intelligent and thoughtful people simply come to different conclusions on things?

I mean, I disagree with his reasoning in his stance on gun control - but I can understand where he’s coming from and believe he’s genuine in wanting to address a problem.

I’ve got a lot more respect for Steve Kerr and why he showed up at the DNC than I do for Hulk Hogan or Kid Rock and why they showed up at the RNC.

Let Donald Trump or some other Republican say something controversial and I promise you both Steve Kerr and Pop will be some of the loudest voices speaking out against them. You will see just how good and honorable he will be.

Kerr is a far left loon. He is your typical California Democrat. He is closer to a Socialist/Communist than he is what people consider a classic liberal that is a notch or 2 past center. I can see where a classic liberal loves and cares about his country. A socialist/ communist has no love for this country. They shouldn’t be debated or argued with at all. They should be rejected as unserious.

I saw a documentary about Kerr - his father's murder had no effect on the trajectory of his life. The same bubble he was in before was the same bubble he was in after. The same trajectory with regard to basketball was there before and after. I came away from that piece not seeing one discernible difference in his life. No paradigm shifts. No anger. No awakening. Nothing at all.

This is all he's ever done. It's impressive, but it has no connection to the real world or how other people live, and his life before basketball was the same. He has no idea how 99% of the nation lives or how the nation functions. Everything for him is basketball. It's ok to be like that but one should have the self-awareness to realize it's a limiting factor.

quote:

But he has the audacity to have differing political views!

He's never had "differing views". He has always had the ones given to him by his parents and the environment he grew up in - it's almost like there's no growth at all - much like someone in an ideological bubble for his entire life, never having to question it or live with the consequences of it.

quote:

It’s comical reading all the excuses

Facts and circumstances of his life are not excuses.

quote:

Did you ever think that at some point, good, honorable, intelligent and thoughtful people simply come to different conclusions on things?

This happens, and none of it applies to Kerr.

quote:

I can understand where he’s coming from and believe he’s genuine in wanting to address a problem.

He's from an ideological bubble and is an elitist. He thinks that if you disagree with him, that you are unenlightened and dumb. He's a cardboard cutout of the modern leftist, which is no reflection of the modern liberal. The entire focus of his life has been to take a leather ball on a wooden floor and put it in a metal hoop. Yet he feels qualified to tell others how to live. If he couldn't dribble a basketball he'd be a gender studies professor.

quote:

I’ve got a lot more respect for Steve Kerr and why he showed up at the DNC than I do for Hulk Hogan or Kid Rock and why they showed up at the RNC.

Why he showed up at the DNC is the problem. He is completely unqualified and unstudied, but thinks his ideology should be pushed on everyone else and if we've learned anything about the left throughout history, it's that they have no problem using the badge and the gun to do this. That is what Kerr supports and that is something he'd be happy with, and that's why he showed up there.

He's an unthinking dolt. He's no Phil Jackson, and by the way, Phil is far better to listen to on political matters and is well known for being smart about life away from the court. If Phil showed up at the DNC, or the RNC, or anywhere else, I'd listen because I know is positions come from some amount of reflection and study. Any agreement or disagreement with Phil would be genuine and based on logic and facts, not the result of being trapped in an ideological bubble. You'd think that would have rubbed off on Kerr but it didn't - like I said, there is no growth there. He has never changed. People like Kerr can certainly be respected for what they do in their particular realm, but outside of that, he and others like him should never be listened to and they absolutely should never have any power over others.
