Depending on FTC approval

If it goes through, circle k would own 20% of the entire retail gas station market in America

LINK

In 2021, 7-11 bought all speedway locations in America

I don’t have any 7-11 around me, so I don’t much care, but Circle K has seemed to be on a downswing, looking like they want to focus down market with giant cheap cigarette banners, etc.

No thank you. Monopolization of any industry is a bad thing.

Hopefully they adopt the 7-11 name and practices. Circle K is shite. Got a Speedway you like? They were gobbled up by 7-11.

When did 7/11 pull put of Louisiana? I never remember any as a kid, and I'm 38, but I still see the buildings that were built as 7/11s.

They have already bought a crap ton of Mapcos, and I don't particularly care for it.

ETA: I don't know of they completely bought out Mapco, but all of the ones around me have been rebranded as Circle K. I'm not impressed. Even in the brand new one that I've been in a couple of times it doesn't seem that they can keep half the shite stocked.

7-11 in Thailand is like Taco Bell in Demolition Man.

Throws you off.

Late 80's maybe when the Southern Baptist got their panties in a wad over porn magazines visible from the counter by impressionable under age yutes. 7-11 left the SEC basically.

Yeah, I remember 7-11s in LA. There used to be plenty of Hustlers and High Societies in plain view in Cracker Barrels too in the 90s.

Yeah it had to be late 80s/early 90s. All of the Shreveport stores became Circle K’s

I’m 47 and remember them as a kid. Must have been mid to late 80s. Seemed like circle k took over the 7 eleven locations.

I stole one as a kid. The rack was behind the counter but you could go on the side. It was me, my friend, and his older neighbor. The neighbor was checking out so I made my move. Hid it under my shirt tail and walked out. Rode away real fast on my bike. Some lady in the store saw the whole thing. Ratted me out.

The neighbor got hold of the magazine and brought it back. Because he went there all the time and wanted to be welcome back.

The one by us was a Pack-a-Sak before 7-11.
