Looking for an outdoor kitchen mini-fridge...when we built about 5 years ago, someone gave me a used Frigedaire cast off which finally died

want largest I can get for a 2' x 3' under-counter opening, which means about a 4.4 cu ft model

I've looked at HD, Lowes, Amazon, BestBuy, Sams and Costco, but can't find a single model that doesn't have a lot of bad reviews...seemingly above and beyond the "normal" range of bad reviews most electronic junk made in China gets these days...

I'm thinking you just have to approach this like outdoor TVs: just get the cheapest and only expect 2-3 years out of it

anyone have anything that bucks this trend that they'd recommend?

I bought glass front one to fit my space exactly and it was a big mistake. The glass drips constantly and makes green mold in the patio, and bc it fits the space perfectly it has no room to breathe so it never gets cold and the back of it on the inside is always frosted over. My advice would be to buy one that is smaller than the space and has a little room to breathe or buy one with the fan in the front made for outdoor kitchens.

I have two of these and are happy with them. One inside is about 6 years old and one on my patio that's going on 4 years with no issues.

In my experience, cheap mini fridges don’t cool for shite when they’re crammed into an outdoor kitchen in 95 degree summer. Nothing worse than cracking open a beer and the first sip is 50 degree temp. On top of that, they don’t last.

I am redoing my patio and just bought this model from Costco LINK (idk if this would fit your space since this is 4.9 cu ft)

Just got it in last week. Looks super high end visually. Haven’t tested it yet, patio’s not ready for install. This fridge is manufactured by Bull (the identical Bull model is $1999). A lot of reviews say it cools to 34 degrees even in Florida heat. Ventilation from below so you can flush mount it without the need for a gap around the fridge (which looks cheap IMO). Costco extended warranty should cover you if it craps out w/in 5 years.

I’ve been using this one for 4 years and have not had any problems. It’s a refrigerator only, no freezer. This is located in my outdoor kitchen under the counter.

I love your set up baw.... Your kitchen is awesome. I have had a Primo XL for about 5 years and just installed my kitchen on my lanai. I elected to go to a Pellet grill with my set up instead of using my Primo. I kept the primo for a while but was not using it so I sold it. I kinda regret it even though the pellet grill is so much easier to use.

I got the 36" Coyote and really like it but it feels kinda dirty using a pellet grill after using the Primo for so long.

Anyway, love that set up. Im not sure who made it but it looks similar to mine..... I have a 24" Coyote fridge with my set up and it works great. Just a little pricy

Thank you. I designed everything and had it built when we built our pool in 2020. Love the Primo but it'll defiantly smoke you out if it's closed in too much. The fryer is a bit dangerous making it easy to eat too much fried food. I was worried about the fridge and ice maker so went budget friendly and they're both going strong. I'm in TX and that cheapo fridge will keep drinks ice cold in the middle of summer.

I have a little small portable fryer that I only use for wings. I smoke them and at times, take a few off and flash fry them for my son. He would rather have them that way. I dont typically fry fish. I like to smoke my fish then put it on my flat top and sear the outside...

I did granite tops but I really like the thicker tops yours has. Is it concrete?

Yours is nice as well. I now remember the thread when you built.

I forget what the tops are but it's not concrete. I second guess myself not doing a granite for easier cleaning. These are a pain to clean and it's time for a deep clean and reseal. I covered the bottom shelf with epoxy where the grill and fryer sit.

I really wanted that flat top but I was unsure how much I would use it. Now after a few months with it, I don’t know how we would survive without it honestly. I use it 4-5 days a week.

Just finished omelets and probably doing stir fry tomorrow night. My first crack at fried rice.

The granite is easy to clean but the flat top does splatter all over the tops.

I just bought cheap appliances and got the extended warranty.

Outdoor rated equipment is stupor expensive.

nice setup, can tell you were in TX with that board on board fence.

my only input on the fridge is that if you want a light, check the specs on it before buying, a lot of cheaper ones are dont have a light, and make sure you have airflow.

Thanks man. Its what we always wanted. I spend most of my time out here. Hell, Im out here right now posting this.

If I could have a ice maker somehow installed and it not be a pain in the arse, It would be the only thing I would add. We have people over a lot and it would be nice not having to keep a cooler out here in the South Florida heat

It's 200 bucks to sit out side in ylthe heat and elements. Just roll witha a cheap one if you get 3 years out of it you are + money.
