This guy is a star.

Brian niccol is his name. Came from Taco Bell. Turned chipotle around after the bacterial issues they were having. Brought the guacamole.

Chipotle down big while Starbucks up big

I just don't understand the chipotle customers. A burrito with like 3 oz of chicken is $10

$10 is parity with McDonald's combos, that's not a bad deal at all if you're looking around. You can of course save money at home but for many people the $3-5 savings simply isn't worth the time & energy

Over 900% growth in 6.5 years. The NVIDIA of fast food. Take a bow Brian

Is this the dude that said if you feel the Chipotle employee isn't giving you enough food, just give them a head nod?

They used to give you enough food for it to be easily two meals. Now you’re lucky if they give enough for one.

The trick is get the bowl.
They'll sell you a tortilla for like fifty cents each up to three. Use to you could get up to three tortillas free however I think people caught on. You can roll three burritos from a bowl.

I don't think that company can be saved by a new CEO. It was built in a structurally deflationary regime and the bulk of their expansion came after China joined the WTO during peak globalization. Now we're in a structurally inflationary regime. Their rents are increasing, coffee is increasing and discretionary income is shrinking.

The easiest thing in the world to make at home is coffee. I think their entire model is broken. Captured locations like airports, sure, they'll do fine but I think the growth model of a profitable location on every urban block in the developed world is dead for reasons far beyond the ability of any single CEO to remedy.

I bought yesterday at 39. Went back to Louisiana the past week from jax and every CB we passed on the interstate was packed so i bought a starter position yesterday. Figured a nibble here was worth the risk.

I've never once experienced this. I've never finished my entire bowl and side, but I'm not a fatass

Supposedly, Starbucks has allowed him Nicolli to work remotely and even allow him to use any Starbucks coffe shop with free wifi and all the coffee he wants

I would bet that less than 1% of customers buy drip coffee from Starbucks. The person spending $10 padding profits at Starbucks isn’t taking the time to make that shite in their kitchen.

They also pivot and sell a lot of food now. They have key locations, drive through for the lazy consumer, are efficient for the impatient consumer, and will sell whatever the frick people are buying. SBUX model is not even close to being broken.

There seems to be a lot of corporate/chain coffee shops sprouting up. 7brew, Dutch bros. It’s gotta hurt them.

I sold off my position last year.
