The quicker you learn to not look at the score board and care about points the better. Sometimes being in position will mean you aren't ball chasing and getting points, but being in position will win you the games more than hunting points.

^ This. There have been numerous times I get paired with two ball chasers who don't rotate for shite. I just let them ball chase and I roam the back half playing defense. A lot of the time we can win a game 1-0 or 2-1 and i'll only have 150-200 points, all saves haha. If you only focus on ball chasing/points you're going to lose a lot more than you win.

Points only happen when you touch the ball. You can have teammates get cag goals and be awarded more points at the end just because they got luck and might have been at the right place at the right time.
Just be smart about your rotations, positioning, and avoid double commits.

I started playing RL like a month ago to do some Fortnite challenges, and I’m having a blast. Been playing it more than anything else since. I know I’m late to the party, but it’s a lot more fun than I figured it’d be.
