Decaf Coffee options

In keeping with the theme that TD is getting older and older... I've recently been dealing with some health issues and it seems that my caffeine intake needs to be reduced somewhat.
I HATE THIS IDEA.
I'm not much of a soda drinker so that's not a huge deal but I absolutely love my Bunn drip Community Cafe Special. I bought a bag of their decaf and it's slightly OK. Don't hate it but surely there are better options if I need to limit my morning routine to 1 cup of normal. Any of y'all on the decaf train? I don't own a pod machine but I'm considering now because I don't want to tempt myself with a full pot if it's leaded.
Any recommendations or anyone want to commiserate or point their finger and laugh?

I jumped on the decaf train 20+ years ago when I quit smoking. I had to quit coffee for a while to get over the smoking hump. When I started back with reg coffee, I got the shakes and massive headaches. Been decaf ever since.
I love the Cafe DuMond decaf. It's really good. For a good every day decaf, I like the Kirkland brand from CostCo. Biggest thing for me is a deep, rich coffee which seems to be hard to pull off with decaf. These are two that are excellent.

I often get Publix Colombian Decaf and mix it with something like Lavazza. One tumbler in the morning and I'm good. If I drink coffee after that, it is straight decaf.

Thanks. I live in grocery store hell with only a Walmart and local grocery store formerly known as piggly wiggly. Closest Publix is probably Florida or about 5 hours away. I don’t want to completely cut caffeine out but I was drinking 4 or 5 cups a day and really need to be down to one. I absolutely love plain black coffee with no sugar or anything and have been drinking it regularly since newborn babies had me needing something and they’re both in college now.

If you are drinking that much a day, I would definitely go to half caff first. Folger's decaf isn't bad, especially when mixed with a coffee you like. I went from a lot of sugar and cream to only cream, to black -- and will never go back.
Another thing I have noticed, is that after the first couple of sips, your taste buds adjust. I'll sometimes pick up different brands that are on sale, and while it might not taste good the first few sips, it's fine after that. That's not always true, but it works for me most of the time.

I haven't tried a bunch of decafs, but I too thought Community Cafe Special decaf was OK. It's about as good as Starbucks Veranda Blend Decaf Blonde Roast (NOT Verona!) but often a lot cheaper. Ironically, this Starbucks decaf is the best Starbucks coffee I've tried. The "blonde" roast is important! Starbucks burns everything else I tried.
As for regular coffee, Community Breakfast Blend whole bean is decent, especially on sale for $3.50 a bag. Aldi has Honduras and Peru origin that are decent at $6 a bag. For my "good" coffee, I like Cafeciteaux Ethiopian, but that's like $14 per 12 oz bag. These are all whole bean, and I grind just before brewing single cups. I drink all these black.

I use Folgers decaf mixed with Community Breakfast Blend. I use to get Community Decaf, but it is not available anymore.

I too had to reduce caffine intake, and love coffee but really only want the full octane dark stuff. I have one strong cold brew on the way to work and switch to hot tea for the rest of the day. Buy good loose tea and a brew basket that fits your mug. Its not coffee but I can sleep at night and my heart beats more normally now.
Green Mountain decaf kpods are servicable if you must have something kind of like coffee.

Get the Cafe DuMond decaf with chicory. It’s what you’re looking for.

Dark stuff is actually closer to decaf

I second the Kirkland decaf in the #10 can.
