I stated in the other thread that Rowdy was going to drink Paris dry tonight.

He seems like the type to still abstain from everything leading up to a competition, like he is still competing. Then go on a giant bender of alcohol, drugs, sex and trash talking once it’s over.

I would love to be in Paris hanging out with Rowdy tonight.

One of the most iconic calls in all of sports was Hicks/Gaines call of Jason Lezak’s amazing last 50 meter in the 2008 4x100.

It's amazing how good he is at it.

Rowdy, imo, has played an enormous roll in the popularity of swimming Olympics since he entered the booth imo.

He's made swimming pretty much unwatchable for me. Can't stand his voice, his yelling, etc. I've stopped watching the swimming events because of him.

I do like Rowdy and was mad when peacock gave me the workd feed occasionally - but he is starting to pander to the audience a little too much the last few years. USA DOMINATES swimming, yet every time they win a medal he paints the story as the biggest underdog since Rocky.

What does he do rest of the time when it’s not the Olympics?

It's not a troll, it's a very commonly held opinion in the swimming world. Dude is straight up arse cheeks, and why i watched a new zealand stream of the Olympics this year. Go watch his call again on the mixed medley relay. China is who is challenging us the entire race, but rowdy is so invested in his narrative of us vs Australia he's pumping a team literally 4 seconds behind both of us, that's a non factor. I noticed this also, but I took it as an intentional oversight because his opinions on the validity of China's dopping. Sort of like the comment he made after Marchand won his second gold of the night... The comment was made " that's the first time since 198x since ________won two gilds In the same night"

Then Rowdy pipped in " yeah but she was from east Germany..I dont count that"

Rowdy had no problems recognizing other countries and giving them air time
