direct flights rountrip in the $700+ range

7-12 hour flight time with long 1 stop layovers each way around $400 total

I guess labor day weekend isn't helping the matter. I've flown Southwest to Vegas multiple times in the $200-$300 range

Booking < 1 month out is a bad call. Everything will be expensive at this point

This game has been on the schedule for how long and you're just now looking at flights? Sounds like poor planning man

ETA: I got $300 Southwest round trip months ago

The Vegas cheap narrative went away 8-10 years ago

It’s expensive as hell now. Flights, hotels, food and drinks, etc. It’s now like NYC

Man you waited way too long to book. The rest of us realized months ago that prices were only going to go up from the $300 tickets and booked them.

When was Vegas ever considered to be a cheap destination?

Not to mention I know several people who are driving and doing an awesome road trip without the hassle of flying.

They been over $750 w bad schedules since the day the game was announced. SW is no longer considered inexpensive airfare. Never a truer saying than now “U gotta pay to play”

We booked back in May. First class from FL to LV, LV to San Diego, SD back to FL for around $1,500. Started out almost $2,600!

That’s more expensive than flying to Southeast Asia and Australia.

You're trying to book less than 4 weeks before

You think $700 is bad? If you can get a decent arrival/departure date, flight time, seat, baggage etc. coming out of Louisiana for $700 let me know.

Not cheap per se, but we used to go in the early 2000s and we never paid over $100 for a room. You’d see $59 and $79 deals everywhere online. Also ads all over Vegas for the $9.99 buffet or $7.99 t bone.

Those are all gone and replaced with celebrity chef restaurants. Even the Caesers buffet is $85

Currently you can still get a round trip from MSY-Phoenix for $329.

Not a bad option if you can find some people to split a rental with & make the 5 hr drive. Probably the same for LAX

Plenty of cars for <$200. That’s a $529 round trip

I booked mine for around $450 just a few weeks ago. More than I wanted to pay, but times/prices weren’t going to improve

I was looking the other day and noticed the same thing. One thing to consider is either arriving a day before and/or leaving a day later to get back to the 300-400 dollar flights, then put the 400 towards your hotel. You will be out roughly the same amount of money but you get more days to experience vegas.
