I’m not familiar with it at all and am enjoying it. That Netherlands Hungary match was fun.

USA is scoring so much you don’t really need to know any nuances to appreciate

The set up in front of the net on offense looks awful

Yep. That offensive position is called hole set. Defense position is set defense (original I know). It’s typically the best athlete on both sides, and guard on the opposite side of the ball is always sluffed off enough to double team. If there’s a double team fouls are rarely called so just about anything goes. Can be brutal. Refs can’t see anything when there’s white water/splashing but the underwater cameras show all the crap going on.

Pool is 6.5 feet deep and feet can't touch the bottom.. I guess they use the bottom to jump up?? The underwater shots are great viewing!! It looks like 99% of the bodies are prime... These are real woman not the gymnasts who look like very young girls..

Water polo is fairly popular with the HS swim kids in Houston. A lot of them only do swim in order to stay in shape to play polo.

It’s a foul to touch the bottom. They must swim or tread water the entire game.

For whatever reason he decided the USAW water polo team needed an official celeb sponsor. Not sure what all he does but he’s gotten in the pool with them in practice and travelled to support them
