Is it just me or was Mission: Impossible - Fallout much better?

I’ll get hate for this but the first MI is the best, imo

the major stunt set piece from Dead Reckoning aside, Fallout is a significantly better film

I didn’t love dead reckoning. It felt like just a series of action movie cliches.

SO much exposition and explanations of AI by Benjy and Luther

It felt pretty disjointed to me .

Yes fallout was way better overall

Reminded me of DaVinci Code how they stumble on to a riddle or puzzle, and some character just happens to have a random nugget of info that ends up solving the puzzle

I enjoyed most of Dead Reckoning, especially its big setpieces, but Fallout was much better. In every way.

I'm between the first one, Ghost Protocol, and Fallout for the best, and I think I'd lean Fallout.

I got a big promotional credit for google play a while back and used it to pay for this when it came out. I turned it off like 15 min in and I still haven't finished it. It was just not good. And I thought Fallout was truly awesome and enjoyed the others in the reboot era of the franchise.

Fallout is much better. Hated how they killed off Ferguson’s character even though it seems like she wanted to move on and has a busy schedule but the weird replacement with Atwell just muddied the final third of the film.

Totally disagree but to each their own. While I think fallout was the better action movie, I found DR to be a more fun action movie and easier to rewatch. Very excited for part 2

I’ve been watching at the gym this week. I’ve gotten to the bridge fight scene with Gabriel.

Man, it’s non-stop action so far.

Seems like there’s been more of the signature “Tom Cruise running” in this one.

Fallout was better but I thought DR was great until the final train sequence got too CGI. Kind of zoned out as soon as the train started going over the bridge - just a lot of noise and CGI with no believable stakes. Also, loved having Kittredge back, but Gabriel and Tron/AI were kind of blah adversaries.

Fallout is better. Henry Cavill being a badass helped. DR was a big let down in the villain department.

Reckoning was good
Can’t wait to see how he’s gonna maneuver the submarine

He’s gonna break the Kate winslett record of holding her breath for avatar 2, in DR part 2

You can see it coming.. in those frozen waters he’ll have to hold his breath to escape from it after saving the day somehow

GP, Rogue Nation, and Fallout were all better MI movies to me and I’d prefer them.

Dead Reconing was too over the top action for me on repeat.

I like it a lot, don’t get me wrong but I felt like it was meant to keep you on the edge of your seat too long and didn’t really let you catch your breath. It was more of a pile of well put together action scenes than a coherent plot.

I liked it - not my fav, Fallout is better - but I haven't disliked an MI movie

Mission Impossible 2 is pretty bad.
