Jonah Williams - Bayou Splash Attendee, Two Sport Athlete

I think most pundits and talking heads and industry insiders are choosing him to attend Oregon, or possibly A&M, but I'll call my shot now, Jonah Williams will be an LSU Tiger.
I am of the opinion that this event has been extremely beneficial for LSU. I think with the success we can have in football and baseball that this is the 1 place where if he can hold up his end of the bargain, he can become a transcendent athlete before ever becoming a professional.
I'm excited to see what happens with this kid. Can you imagine the hype if he actually comes to LSU and balls out in both football and baseball ? Its an incredibly hard thing to accomplish. Aside from Chad Jones who had his career tragically cut short from a car accident, only Deion, Bo and Brian Jordan have really been able to play 2 sports successfully.
If he has the ability and truly wants to chase a chance at greatness, it would be one of the best stories in sports.

I expect a three team race of LSU, A&M & now Texas joining the conversation after his Thursday visit.
He's from a pro A&M location but I think it's Blake Baker's old HS coach is Jonah's coach?

What I don’t get, is how the big time athletes and alpha males can go to aTm on a visit and not be scratching their heads when they do all of their yell leader shite. How can they actually watch that shite and not think it’s gay
I guess when someone is giving you hundreds of thousands / million dollars, you look past it?

I don’t think he’s an lsu caliber baseball player, but whatever, do what you gotta do to get him

A guy who never played in an NFL games and pitched 12 innings of rookie league baseball is in the same league with Bo Jackson and Deion? Get a grip. The 2-sport professional athlete gimmick is over. Teams are paying players too much money to let them skip part of a season to do that. No matter how much money Nike wants to throw their way, teams aren't going to allow it.

I'm curious to see if he even steps foot on a college campus. Based on the things I'm reading and listening to there's a strong possibility he goes pro in baseball after becoming a high pick in next years MLB draft.

You should read and listen to different things.
He's not a high level draft prospect.

I haven't done too much digging into his baseball profile, just taking the word of some MLB scouts speaking very highly of him.

He’s a lefty pitcher who throws 92-94mph. He’s definitely lsu baseball caliber

You forget that Kyler Murray was 1st rd NFL draft pick and 1st rd MLB draft pick?

Wasn’t he the ONLY one though?
I wouldn’t rely on anomalies

I don't see Oregon if he really wants to play baseball, he's not flying all the way out west to play bad, cold baseball in the Big Ten
He also said NIL was not a factor, which may not be completely genuine, but would further rule out Oregon

Money, academics, and being close to home. This really isn't hard lol.

That’s all stuff for the fans. The players don’t care anything about it. They want money, opportunity, and a coach(s) they trust can further their career.

He throws 88 but he hit 94 once on a $100 pocket radar. You people are seriously overestimating his baseball ability…especially as a 2 sport guy who will do almost no baseball training.
And no he is not an MLB draft prospect

He's from a pro A&M location
