I am looking for a venue that will host around 80 people for a business Christmas party. We have used White Oak plantation and Houmas House the past few years. We were please with both but would like to find some new unique places. We would prefer it to be in the greater Baton Rouge area. Any recommendations?

Red Stick Social - they cater too, and have furniture

If you are bringing your own food - botanical gardens? do they have furniture?

something really different? - the patio at la carreta in denham

How has Paul Allen not mentioned Drusilla Seafood yet

I have always used White Oak for our corporate Christmas party and last year they were booked. We went to Mount Hope on Highland. They've built a beautiful venue building and we did a plantation tour/champagne in the main house before moving to the back. That being said, the food was lacking. More reception type service that the food you're used to at White Oak. But for ambiance, it was great. But we're going back to White Oak this year, so take it for what it's worth. We used to use City Club, but they dropped way off after Covid. Might be worth checking into to see if they've stepped things back up.

We actually tried Drusilla Seafood one year but were disappointed. There just wasn’t anything that was special about the room/venue we had. It was buffet style and just didn’t seem like the typical upscale dining that we have been doing.

This is very pretty but it appears that the maximum capacity is only 40 people.

Bumping this thread again. We did Shaw Center last year. The venue was really good. We were forced to use a catering service and it was alright but not as good a food as we have had at others.

Is there anything new that has a great ambience and good food near BR?

If you have any caterers you like, call them and ask for suggestions on venues. We have one we like to use and he's recommended venues to us for events, all of which allow him as the caterer.

I just attended a group function there last week. The food was great. This make over 10 years of doing this, never a disappointment.

Believe it or not we did ours at Uncle Earl's from 12PM-3PM last year with close to the same amount of people. It was much better than I expected it to be.

We went to a large Christmas party at The Station last year. I think they are tied in with some Christmas National thing because they supposedly do something every year, Decorations all over. I think the party we were at was catered by some outside company.
