There won't be an "open" process - this is all fake shite.

Obama will seal the deal by coming out at the DNC and endorsing her in effort to boost her.

This is all strategic gameplay.

It's hilarious that democratic voters think they "elected" Biden.

I think it’s wild that so many pledged without her giving a single speech or platform of her policies

I won't believe Dems roll with Harris until it happens. She's more unelectable than Biden.

It seems odd to replace one unelectable candidate with another unelectable candidate.

Why would big money donors be any more likely to open their wallets for Kamala?

This, IMHO, will be decided in Chicago Barack Obama will ultimately make the call or at the very least, bless the decision.

Well, she possibly participated in less international corruption than FJB.
Maybe that's why she has less democrat support

Never had to run as the main candidate in a primary or anything. I'm sure Democrats that voted, actually voted, for Biden are thrilled.

They must be planning on cheating more than 2020.

Or…this was just about the down ballot races and their donations drying up.

Or both. Strange times.

But then again, what choice do they have at this point

She is “black”. That is her platform and it’s all she needs.

She could flat out promise to pardon every child molester in the country and she’ll still get 98% of the black vote and most of the Dem vote. All that matters is that she’s “black”

Isn't all of politics “strategic gameplay”?

This should not shock anyone.

You are not being fair; there is the part about the future being what will be and not what has been, like the past.

Okay, flip it around.

Trump announces JDVance two months ago. Camapaigns with him, etc.

Then - tragedy - Trump has to go whether by another attack or a health emergency or whatever.

It is now three weeks until the convention. Would you expect the GOP to nominate Vance or ask for chaos at an open convention? I would support the quick and easy nmination of Vance, plus by law Vance has to be on the ticket to get the money that has been raised for the campaign.

Of course the Democrats are doing it this way, it would be ridiculous to expect them to do anything else!

Good point, can any of you guys blame the Democrats for ditching Biden? You all know how terrible he is. If the tables were turned Republicans would do the same thing.

It's happening 100%. They're trying to make it look like less of a coronation by delaying some key endorsements.
