Say you had an unruly upstairs neighbor and were considering leaving a note posted on their door, which would you choose?

OPTION A

OPTION B

Just say STFU or I’ll burn your house down?

You’re just going to encourage him to stomp around more

After having been in this scenario, acting like a child, throwing a tantrum to slowly realizing that I can talk to them I’d say the best option is to politely get to know them and ask them to be a bit quieter.

If it escalates from there and they are being assholes you can’t do much but wait for them frick up and call the police.

Most people are understanding of others.

OPTION B
sorry bro, you don’t get to act like a tough guy when writing some gay little note to your neighbor i/o knocking on his door and talking to him like a man.

if you’re dead set on handling this like a punk, I’d suggest calling your landlord or apartment management and asking them to talk with your neighbor about the noise.

yes, it’s a pathetic way to go about the situation, but it seems like it would be less embarrassing than leaving a note and running away jmo

I’m getting big “I post anonymously in my neighborhood BoomerBook group” vibes.

I'm currently dealing with an old woman who is selling her house. My lawn man asked me if I could hold off for an extra week because his wife had a miscarriage and she was taking losing the baby pretty hard. I told him to take all of the time he needed. Two days later I had a note taped to my door telling me that I disrespect my neighbors by not having my lawn cut. I found out today that she went to every house on my street to ask what kind of person I am. She did a background check on me and she was mad that she couldn't find anything on me. She told people that her house is on the market and my long grass is keeping potential buyers away. She moved here ten years ago to be close to her daughter. She is from Nevada. She plans to live with her ugly daughter. I never saw or met this old woman and if I ever see her outside I plan to have a conversation with her. She also said that I need to keep my garage door down. My garage has nothing in it until I park my car in it every night. I think that old dog is taking extreme measures against.me. She also reported me to the city telling them that I won't cut my grass. I'm glad that she is moving but I never saw or met her.

I had an ex with a neighbor like this. She tried to be nice but nothing. She travelled a lot so we went out and got the most annoying/loudest alarm clock we could find. And I told her to prop up high near the ceiling on top of her closet door. She would set it to go off for the middle of the night and stay on for a few days

It helped.

Depends. Do they seem like respectable people or people who might shoot you for disrespecting them?
