homemade soda water tap/dispenser

I want to make a carbonated water tap/dispenser in my outdoor kitchen. It would go next to a sink so I have supply. I want to connect to a standard refillable CO2 tank. No need for refrigeration this is for the bar.
I have in my head a beer tap on the wall connected to supply and CO2. Anyone kind of know what all I need to get downstream from the supply water?

Yes. You can find a used 5 gallon soda keg for pretty cheap or at least you used to. I have 5 or 6 in my attic and I don't think I ever spent more than 15 bucks for one.

I make and keep 5-10 gallons of soda water on tap in home brew corny kegs in a kegerator. Just use filtered tap water to fill keg and add lemon or lime juice to it to taste and carbonate it up with a refillable tank. It’s super convenient to have a ton of it on tap vs buying it by the case but probably not as convenient if you’re not used to kegging up beers like I was.

I found this on the corny keg website which seems to be specifically for this use.

definetly subbed to this thread. I go though 2 bottles of soda stream water every day. It gets old carbonating 4 bottles every 2 days. I did get a couple 20lb c02 cylinders and refill a rotation of 6 soda stream cylinders.
eta, this youtube rundown helped me get a quick grasp of what I need to do. 9min I'm sure you can buy the stuff he's using at several places other than his store.

frick yes
TD comes thru again.
I’m going to get what else I need this week and try and install before the end of the month. I’m going to try it without the keg in a fridge first before I give up beer space in the mini fridge (and cut a hole it in)

Only that this description in the continuous soda carbonator keg lid description is misleading IMO:
In my experience they last a long time so long as they do not leak and are not expensive to have refilled (~$10). I just have a typical lid and used the gas in and liquid out posts.
I may be able to sell you a 5 gallon keg when you are ready.

the way I understand it…
-CO2 tank on the floor
-mini fridge on the floor, keg inside
-gas and water supply to the two inlets of the keg lid
-carbonated water from the keg lid outlet up to the tap on the wall
the keg lid has a float switch so that when water level drops, it activates and adds water to replace what you dispense. The gas regulator keeps constant gas pressure inside the keg.
that’s pretty much it as far as I can tell. 5 lbs of CO2 should last basically forever

Do you already have a T off of your water supply line?

If you get really into it, you can use reverse osmosis water then add salts to fit your taste. There are clone perrier water profiles online you can duplicate.

Depending on how much you drink and if you have the room you may look at getting a used/refurbed 5 gallon corny keg. 2.5 gallons = ~27 12 ounce cans. I'd kill that in a weekend. Whenever I homebrewed one of the biggest PITAs was pulled kegs, cleaning them, and refilling them. If you go the used route pay attention to if the posts are ball lock or pin lock. Not much price difference but it's pretty aggravating to set everything up and realize you can't hook up to your taps/c02.
I made an automatic keg cleaner with a bucket and a harbor freight sump pump that worked pretty well.
Oxy clean or PBW is best for cleaning kegs. I don't think you have to worry about sanitizing with carbonated water but maybe look in to that. It's easy, star san is cheap and you don't have to rinse.
You have me wanting to pull all my old sh*t out and set up a carbonated water tap. The plugged tap holes in my beer fridge door look all sad and empty.
