If the pirates could score any runs when he pitches, he would be

It’ll be Wheeler, Glasnow, or Sale and any one of those will be the right choice

A rookie rarely gets that luxury

The pirates run support for Skenes hasn’t been that bad
Nola had it way worse for the Phillies when he was getting acclimated to mlb

He’s had some of the best run support ever for a rookie.

Are you under the impression that W/L record has any effect on how a pitcher is judged?

Not likely for rookie based on the past.

He definitely could, but I’d much rather him be second, or even in the closing role. If he gets the start, that means Aaron Judge would take him yard in the first.
