To move to Mexico, Maine and retire from your current job

Would you take it? Asking for a friend.

I'd move to Maine, Mexico if I could get some cash and retire

Edit: nevermind. I didn't know there was a town called "Mexico" in Maine.

I know nothing about it, but it seems like a beautiful place to live.

That's appropriation, bro.

I could barely live there and have a real job which would allow me to afford my child support payments for the next seven and a half years (hire a lawyer, kids.)

frick it, why not? You'd find something else to do Refinishing boats, whatever. I'd leave it after fall/winter/spring #1 though.

I drove through there many times. I’d do it for 500 K.

Only if there's a sassy librarian/artist/bakery owner and we find love/save Christmas/ foil a greedy developer.

Tax free?

Even then… Nah. It’d have to be at least 4-6 million

Nope. I've dealt with enough miserable Northeast winters for one lifetime.

I would probably be happy being a bar tender and live off the interest of the lump sum.
