Literally, the ultra rich in this country are afraid of people on both sides of the political divide revolting against them. It shields them from taking any semblance of accountability within the court of law.

The court of law is the only place where Truth is upheld and cuts through the phony lies told by Fox News, MSNBC and CNN.

The funny thing is our founding fathers feared kings and queens ruling America and took away the power of the peoples voice.

Down vote me all you want, but a misinformed society where you aren't allowed to question anything from either political party keeps people like Bush, Joe Biden and Pelosi in power.

There's already a system for dealing with Presidents who step out of line.

The Founders knew what they were doing.

Roberts said as much in his opinion. He explicitly said that you can't determine novel constitutional questions, such as this, on the current situation. He phrased it in a way in which it seemed as if he would like to say that Trump can be held liable but he, as much as I disliked his ACA wishy-washiness, phrased his opinion in a long term play. I will give him props for this decision because it seems correct to me.

Back in my day Democracy/US Government and Economics were required classes

Do they not teach it anymore?

It is correct and it’s been taught in law school forever. We just didn’t have an opinion on it yet

Funny you mention a misinformed society when it is clear you either didn’t read or didn’t understand the ruling.

Today’s ruling simply clarifies that a POTUS can’t be criminally charged for carrying out the duties of the office.

Yes it literally was a case about Donald J. Trump, you imbecile. The case was United States v. Trump.

The immunity test will be useful for future presidents but it was a case about Trump.

OP could not be more wrong. If we want leaders outside of the DC Swamp, there has to be some protections in place. Otherwise, they would all be prosecuted- by Democrats.
