No idea if anyone on this board is watching Interview with the Vampire, but...

...the final 2 episodes of season 2 was some of the best television I've seen in years. Just a masterclass in acting, cinematography, score, everything that makes great TV.
They stuck the landing on season 2 (and the first book) in a way you rarely see from an adapted work. (No it's not exactly from the book. They made changes, but it's incredible)
The entire cast is fantastic, but Sam Reid as Lestat is ripped straight from the books.
Bravo.
Can't wait for season 3 (Will be the adaptation of The Vampire Lestat).

I gave it a shot last year, but the floating buttsex scene was just too much.

I guess I get it, but that was pretty "PG" compared to some non-floating buttsex scenes in some shows you've watched. (Game of Thrones for example).

Not as absurdly as in IWAV, though. I just couldn't take it seriously after that.

I'm a huge fan of the movie but have skipped this adaptation.

Same. I’ve read all of the books and the movie with Cruise/Pitt is one of my favorites. I attempted to watch the first season, but you just can’t change every single thing about the characters and story.

Setting aside all the whining about fidelity to the source material, it IS a very well-done television program, and the story is quite good as long as you keep in mind that it is NOT intended to be a scene-by-scene copy of the books.
I have one serious question about the "new" story, though.
Louis is supposed to be the son of a wealthy, Creole planter. Why do they have him speaking English like the son of an uneducated field hand?
